We're making changes to Velocity Frequent Flyer

In 2025, a series of program changes are coming to Velocity that affects Status, Velocity Points and Status Credit earn on Virgin Australia flights, Status Credit earn on Airline Partners, Reward Seats and Upgrades.

We will be updating our terms and conditions, to reflect the program changes launching on 2 April 2025.

It's easy to keep your Points fresh

Yes Points can expire after 24 months of account inactivity. That means no eligible earnings or redemptions for two whole years.

Every time you earn, redeem or buy Points, you’re refreshing your account balance for another 24 months! A single Point in or a single Point out is all it takes.

  • Points transferred from a Family Pool, Family Points Transfers, and earning Status Credits won’t stop your Points from expiring
  •  Once Points have expired, they cannot be reinstated. Your Points expiry will not result in closure of your Velocity account.

1 Earn rates and flights are subject to airline partner and Velocity membership terms and conditions.

2 Up to 6 Velocity members (max. 2 adults (18 or over) and 4 children) living at the same address permitted in one Family Pool. Family Pooling must be set up prior to Points or Status Credit earn to be pooled to the nominated beneficiary. Additional terms and conditions available here.
