Earn Velocity Points
*Velocity Frequent Flyer members can earn 1 Velocity Point per $1 spent on eligible bookings, as follows:
(a) on eligible holidays, which include packages, products and services offered by Luxury Escapes: under the product categories 'Hotels and Resorts' (including 'Limited Time Lux Exclusive’ and ‘LUX Premium Collection’) ‘Tours’, ‘Cruises’, ‘Ultra Lux’, ‘Experiences’, ‘Homes and Villas’ and 'Last Minute Escapes' (Eligible Holidays)
(b) for eligible package purchases that include Virgin Australia marketed and operated flights, Velocity Points will be earned on the component of the total package attributable to Virgin Australia flights (Eligible VA Flights) (as well as the component attributable to other eligible purchases in the package that are Eligible Holidays).
Velocity members will also earn Velocity Points on the ‘plus pay’ cash, money or Luxury Escapes cancelled travel credit component they have used to pay in combination with redeeming Velocity Points with Luxury Escapes for Eligible Holidays and Eligible VA Flights (excluding any Velocity Points redemption value utilised for the redemption alongside the cash or money component, as well as any other applicable exclusions).
Eligible bookings must be purchased through any Luxury Escapes booking channel, effective 22 August 2023 and are subject to any applicable exclusions. All bookings are subject to the Luxury Escapes Terms and Conditions.
Exclusions: ‘Hotels and Resorts – LUX Partner Property’ accommodation package; ‘Flight only’ bookings or purchases; any flight that is not marketed and operated by Virgin Australia (whether purchased as part of a package or individually); gift cards (whether purchased as part of a package or individually) or other credit or credit voucher issued by Luxury Escapes which allows any Velocity member to use the credit for payment for a purchase from Luxury Escapes (other than in respect of a cancelled or changed booking); travel insurance (whether purchased as part of a package or individually); and any financial product, financial service or banking product or service.
Redeem Velocity Points
Velocity Frequent Flyer members can redeem Velocity Points at the rate published by Luxury Escapes for Eligible Holidays and Eligible VA Flights.
Restrictions on Earning Velocity Points
• You must be a Velocity member at the time Velocity Points are allocated to earn Velocity Points for an Eligible Holiday and Eligible VA Flights. Velocity Points are only earned on eligible bookings and purchases made in the name of the Member who entered their Velocity Program number when making the booking and no other travellers are entitled to receive any Velocity Points.
• Velocity Points earn rate is 1 Velocity Point per $1 spent on all Eligible Holidays and Eligible VA Flights booked and travelled in accordance with the terms and conditions that apply to this offer.
• Velocity members must submit their valid Velocity member number at the time of booking or. Before Travel departure date you can contact the Luxury Escape Customer Support line on 1300 889 900 to advise your Velocity Frequent Flyer number. Member Name must match one of the travellers in the booking details.
• Velocity Points are usually awarded within 30 days of travel.
• Velocity Points earn is not available on cancelled or refunded bookings or any incidentals or purchases made outside the Luxury Escapes booking channel, for example, room movie services, food and beverage at the destination, telephone and/or additional Wi-Fi services.
• Velocity Points are not earned where Velocity Points are used as payment in full or part, except Velocity Points can be earned on the portion that is a ‘plus pay’ cash, money or Luxury Escapes cancelled travel credit component used to pay in combination with redeeming Velocity Points.
Restrictions on Redeeming Velocity Points with Luxury Escapes
• You must be a Velocity member at the time of booking and purchasing to redeem Velocity Points for an Eligible Holiday (including any Eligible VA Flights). Velocity Points can only be redeemed on eligible bookings and purchases made in the name of the member.
• The minimum number of Velocity Points required to redeem an Eligible Holiday (including any Eligible VA Flights) via Luxury Escapes is 5,000 Velocity Points.
• You can use your Velocity Points to redeem part or the full amount of a Luxury Escapes Eligible Holiday (including any Eligible VA Flights). The entire amount of the booking must be pre-paid at the time of booking.
• Velocity Points can be earned on redemption bookings made with combination of Velocity Points plus pay at an earn rate of 1 Point per $1 spent on Eligible Holidays.
• Velocity Points cannot be redeemed for any additional incidentals or purchases made outside Luxury Escapes’ booking channels (for instance, Velocity Points cannot be redeemed for the purchase of any in room movie services, food and beverage at destination, telephone, or additional Wi-Fi services).
• Velocity Points redeemed for a booking will not be refunded and will be forfeited in the event of cancellation or refund of a redemption booking. However, if you cancel your eligible booking within 7 days of purchase/booking and are entitled to a full refund under the Luxury Escapes cancellation and refund policy or otherwise. or are entitled to a refund according to applicable law, you may be entitled to a reversal and reinstatement of the Velocity Points you redeemed.
