If approved, the card holder must activate the card, turn on Auto-Redemption with Velocity and spend at least $2000 on Eligible Purchases using the new credit card within 3 months of the date of approval. The date of approval of an application is the disclosure date specified in your Letter of Offer.
30,000 bonus Velocity Points
If approved, the card holder must retain the ANZ Rewards Platinum Credit Card Account for at least 15 months, pay the second annual card fee and have Auto Redemption with Velocity on at 15 months from the date of approval. The date of approval of an application is the disclosure date specified in your Letter of Offer.
“Eligible Purchases” means purchases which are eligible to earn ANZ Rewards Points. Some transactions and other items are not eligible purchases as they are not eligible to earn ANZ Rewards Points. For details see the ANZ Rewards - Rewards Program Terms and Conditions (PDF).
Claiming Velocity Points
Once the card holder has met the above criteria, ANZ will send the card holder an: (i) Email to the email address listed on the card holder’s ANZ account with a link to a redemption website and the Reward Code to continue with the redemption process; or (ii) SMS to the phone number on the card holder’s ANZ Rewards membership account with a link to a redemption website and the Reward Code to enable the card holder to continue with the redemption process.
The redemption website is powered by Digital Glue Pty Ltd ABN 36 127 466 899. It may take up to 90 days from the eligible criteria being met to receive your SMS or email. The card holder must redeem the Reward Code for the eligibility offers before the expiry date listed in the SMS or email, otherwise the card holder will forfeit any entitlement to do so. Once the card holder has completed the redemption process on the redemption website, the Velocity Points will be credited usually within 2 business days.
If the card holder transfers or cancels their new ANZ Rewards Platinum credit card account before they receive the SMS or email with the Reward Code and a link to the redemption website, the card holder may become ineligible for this offer. ANZ may refuse to fulfil this offer if the credit card is cancelled, suspended, transferred, or the card holder has breached either the ANZ Credit Card Conditions of Use (PDF) or the ANZ Rewards – Rewards Program Terms and Conditions (PDF) prior to the bonus Velocity Points being credited to the card holder’s Velocity account. There may be a delay in the process of receiving and/or approving an application or activating the card.
The card holder must be a Velocity member in order to participate in this Offer. Minimum redemption threshold applies. To redeem Reward Points for Velocity Points, individuals must be both an ANZ Rewards account holder and a Velocity Frequent Flyer member. Upon accruing Rewards Points to the value of the minimum threshold set-up on auto-redemption, allow up to 5 business days for the Velocity Points to be allocated to the membership account.
