How to transfer your hotel loyalty points

If you are a member of the loyalty program of one of our hotel partners below, you can convert your hotel loyalty points into Velocity Points in a few simple steps.

To earn hotel loyalty points, be sure to add your hotel program loyalty membership number at the time of booking.

To be eligible to earn hotel loyalty points be sure to book your hotel stay directly with our hotel partner on their website, mobile app, or via their contact centre.

Once you have earned your hotel loyalty Points, you can transfer these Points to Velocity by following the steps below.

When transferring hotel loyalty points to Velocity Points, hotel loyalty points cannot be earned when:

 
  • Hotel loyalty points cannot be earned when booking online through most third-party websites, including online travel agents such as booking.com, hotels.com, or any other unauthorised travel agent.
  • If in doubt contact our hotel partner to confirm if your preferred method of booking is eligible to earn points. 

Terms and Conditions:

These are general Terms and Conditions for hotel reward point transfer to Velocity Points. For full details on points transfers, including eligibility criteria, minimum points transfer and applicable conversion rates see below. The earning and redemption of Partner points is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Partner reward program. Once Partner points have been redeemed for Velocity Points, they are governed by the Velocity Membership Terms and Conditions and cannot be reversed. Transferred Velocity Points will be available in your Velocity Account subject to the applicable Partner points transfer timeframes. All exclusions, qualifying/eligible stays and qualifying/eligible room rates are outlined in the individual partner Terms and Conditions. All hotel stays are governed by the individual hotels’ Terms and Conditions; please refer to the individual hotels’ website for full terms and conditions. Minimum point transfer Check the Velocity Member Terms and Conditions for details about transferring hotel reward points to Velocity Points. Please allow up to 8 weeks for Points to be allocated to your Velocity Account after each transfer. Please ensure the name on the Velocity Account provided matches the name under which the hotel reward point transfer is made in order to earn Velocity Points. To earn and redeem Velocity Points you must be a Velocity member. Velocity Member Terms and Conditions apply.

1Accor: The minimum transferrable amount is 4,000 ALL Points per conversion, which is equivalent to 4,000 Velocity Points. 1 ALL point is equivalent to 1 Velocity Point. Members must login to their ALL membership account to transfer their ALL points to Velocity. Please allow up to six weeks for your Points to be credited to your Velocity account. After your ALL Points are converted into Velocity Points, these Points are subject to the Velocity Frequent Flyer general terms and conditions. View terms and conditions of the ALL loyalty program.

2Marriott Bonvoy: The transfer rate is 3 points for 1 Velocity Frequent Flyer Point. For full details and terms and conditions refer to the partner website. Names must be identical on both memberships to complete points transfer. Please allow up to six weeks for the Points to allocated to your Velocity Account. Daily minimum of 3,000 Points and maximum of 240,000 Points value transfer rates apply and are subject to change. After your Marriott Bonvoy Points are converted into Velocity Points, these Points are subject to the Velocity Frequent Flyer general terms and conditions.

*Marriott Bonvoy 5,000 Bonus Velocity Points: Velocity members will receive 5,000 bonus Velocity Points for every 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points they transfer to Velocity in one transaction. The 5,000 bonus Points are in addition to the standard Points earned by a member for transferring points from Marriot Bonvoy to Velocity. For the avoidance of doubt, a member who transfers 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points to Velocity in one transaction will receive 25,000 Velocity Points (20,000 Points plus 5,000 bonus Points). There is no limit on the number of times members can transfer Marriott Bonvoy points to receive this offer. 5,000 bonus Points will be awarded for every 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points transferred to Velocity in one transaction. 3Hilton Honors: To convert your Hilton Honors Points into Velocity Points please contact your local Hilton Honors Customer Care Center or go to the exchange section within your Hilton Honors account. The minimum transferrable amount is 10,000 Hilton Honors Points per conversion, which is equivalent to 1,500 Velocity Points. Transfers can only be made in increments of 10,000 Hilton Honors Points. Please allow 30 to 60 days from the point of the transfer request being made for your transfer request to be processed. Transfers must be made to a Velocity Frequent Flyer account that is in the same name as the Hilton Honors member account that the points are being transferred from. Transfers cannot be reversed or converted into any other rewards option. Hilton Honors™ membership and redemption of Points are subject to Hilton Honors Terms and Conditions. After your Hilton Honors Points are converted into Velocity Points, these Points are subject to the Velocity Frequent Flyer general terms and conditions.

4IHG® One Rewards: Transfer rate: 10,000 IHG® One Rewards points is the equivalent of 2,000 Velocity Points. The minimum transferrable amount is 10,000 IHG® One Rewards points per conversion and can be moved in increments of IHG® One Rewards points. To transfer please visit IHG website or contact your regional IHG® One Rewards Customer Care to transfer your IHG® One Rewards points to Velocity Points. Please allow approximately 4 to 6 weeks to convert your IHG® One Rewards points into Velocity Points and allocate them to your Velocity Account. 5Choice Privileges: You must be a member of Velocity Frequent Flyer to transfer Choice Privileges points to your Velocity Account. The minimum transferable amount is 2,000 Choice Privileges points per conversion, which is equivalent to 800 Velocity Points. Members can move Choice Privileges points in 2,000 increments. You can transfer your Choice Privileges points online or by calling the Choice Service Center and providing your Velocity membership number. Velocity Points cannot be exchanged for Choice Privileges points. Please allow 2 - 6 weeks for the Points to be allocated to your Velocity Account. Changes, re-issuance or re credit of Choice Privileges points is not allowed once you have made a request to transfer Choice Privileges points to Velocity. 6Shangri-La Circle:  Shangri-La Circle members can transfer their Shangri-La Circle Points to their Velocity Account. Transfer rate: 1 Shangri-La Circle Point is equivalent to 1 Velocity Point. A minimum transfer amount of 1,000 Shangri-La Circle Points, with subsequent 500 point increments, applies. Please allow up to 6 weeks for the Points to be allocated to your Velocity Account. To redeem Shangri-La Circle Points for Velocity Points, individuals must be both a Shangri-La Circle account holder and a Velocity Frequent Flyer member.
