Yes. So long as the bookings are made via the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Thrifty link on the either the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Booking Portal or Rewards Portal.
No. Once a booking is confirmed, the ABN that is attached to the booking cannot be changed. If you need to change the ABN on a booking, we recommend cancelling your existing booking and making a new booking via the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Thrifty website.
If you still cannot see your Points in the Rewards Portal 30 days after returning the car, please lodge a claim via Thrifty's Claim Missing Points form
If you booked a car and forgot to provide your Velocity Frequent Flyer number, simply present it when you collect your vehicle from Thrifty car hire to earn Points.

Alternatively, if you are missing Velocity Frequent Flyer Points you can make a claim within 3 months of the eligible transaction. You must have been a Velocity member at the time of activity, however you can claim missing Points for an activity completed within the 30 days prior to joining Velocity Frequent Flyer.

If it has been more than 30 days since you returned your Thrifty vehicle and you are missing eligible Points you can lodge a claim via email.
Yes. Virgin Australia Business Flyer Members can transfer Points in the Rewards Portal to the account of an eligible employee, who is also a Velocity Frequent Flyer member. Please note there is a minimum point transfer of 3,000 Points.
Once you have completed your online booking, Thrifty will send you a confirmation email to the email address provided. This confirmation email will include your booking number, details of your pickup and return location, the estimated price of your booking, and other important information.

Virgin Australia Business Flyer members will be eligible for the following Thrifty Points earn rate:

To be eligible to earn Velocity Points for your business, the business must hold a current Virgin Australia Business Flyer membership in accordance with the relevant Virgin Australia Business Flyer and Velocity Terms & Conditions. To be eligible to earn Velocity Points via Thrifty, the business must book through the Thrifty booking portal that can be accessed via the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Rewards Portal or the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Booking Portal. Points will be awarded to the member’s account within 3 weeks after return of the vehicle.

Velocity Frequent Flyer

If the driver is also a member of Velocity Frequent Flyer and their Velocity membership number is added to the booking, they may earn Velocity Frequent Flyer Program Points in accordance with the Velocity member Terms & Conditions as amended from time to time.
Velocity Frequent Flyer members will not earn Points on contract rates, international wholesale rates, staff and industry rates, restricted rate plans, optional damage liability reduction, vehicle registration fee, premium location fee, admin fee, taxes, GST, one-way fees, age surcharges, additional driver fees and equipment such ski racks, baby/booster seats or GPS rental costs.
Points will be awarded to the Velocity Frequent Flyer member’s account within 8 weeks of return of the vehicle.
Velocity membership and Points earn is subject to the Velocity Member Terms and Conditions as amended from time to time.

1. Earning Points with Virgin Australia Business Flyer: Virgin Australia Business Flyer Members can earn up to 1,000,000 Points from completed travel on eligible flights marketed and operated by Virgin Australia or marketed by Virgin Australia and operated by eligible airline partners, per annum, based on the rolling 12 month period from when the Member joins Virgin Australia Business Flyer. Points aren’t earned on certain fees, taxes, or charges.  Virgin Australia Business Flyer Terms and Conditions  apply.

2. United Airlines Business Discounts (UA Business Discounts): As at 1 November 2023, the following discounts apply to the United Airlines and Virgin Australia base fares (which excludes fees, carrier charges and taxes) of Virgin Australia marketed and United Airlines operated flights (with a VA flight number) booked by Virgin Australia Business Flyer members (Members), which may change without notice:

VA Fare Class J, C and D: 10%

Economy Fares:
VA Fare Classes Y, B, W, H, K and L: 10%
VA Fare Classes R and E: 5%

5. Points Transfer: Virgin Australia Business Flyer Account Administrators can transfer Points earned by the Virgin Australia Business Flyer member to a Velocity Frequent Flyer member, provided that (a) there is a minimum of 3,000 Points per transfer; and (b) the Velocity Frequent Flyer member transferee is directly employed or contracted by the Virgin Australia Business Flyer member.

6. Pilot Gold: A new Virgin Australia Business Flyer member is eligible to receive two three-month Velocity Pilot Gold Memberships if, within the first three months of becoming a Virgin Australia Business Flyer member, it books and completes at least $2,000 of eligible travel (excluding taxes, fees and charges).
