Europcar Virgin Australia Business Flyer Terms and Conditions

  • Vehicles subject to availability.
  • Valid at participating locations across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion.
  • Minimum of 1 day rental charges apply.
  • Rentals based on 24 hour periods (beginning at time of check out)
  • You agree for Europcar to share your redemption information with Virgin Australia Business Flyers as per the Europcar Privacy Policy.
  • Europcar standard age, credit card and driver requirements apply. An online reservation restriction of at least four hours prior to vehicle pick up applies.
  • Extra charges may apply to options you select, if you do not return the vehicle to the same pick up location or return the vehicle late, or if you do not return the vehicle full of fuel unless the prepaid fuel option is purchased, or if you incur infringements or use toll roads. Valid to all passenger vehicle classes, including prestige.
  • Rentals are allowed a 29 minute grace period, after which 1 full day’s charges (along with any applicable fees or optional coverages and equipment) will apply.
  • Standard passenger vehicles include unlimited kilometres on most passenger vehicles in metropolitan areas, 200km per day for rentals in Country areas and 100km per day in Remote areas. Rentals over 30 days may have KM restrictions.
  • For prestige vehicles 1-29 days 200 kms free per day, 30+ days 100 kms free per day with additional kilometres charged per kilometre.
  • Rentals valid for drivers 25+ years old. Renters 21-24 will incur an “Young Driver Fee”. Not all vehicles available to “Young Drivers”. Restrictions apply.
  • Discount Minimum 10% on Time and Kilometres. Minimum 20% discount on optional excess coverage buy down

During the promotional period of 12:01AM AEDT on 20 November 2024 to 11:59PM AEDT on 28 February 2025 (Offer Period), Virgin Australia Business Flyer members will earn an additional 1,000 Velocity Points for their business per rental of an eligible Australia and New Zealand car hire booked with Europcar via the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Booking Portal or Virgin Australia Business Flyer Rewards Portal (Bonus Points Offer). An eligible car hire means any booking made during the Offer Period via the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Booking Portal or Virgin Australia Business Flyer Rewards Portal for travel in Australia and New Zealand between 20 November 2024 to 28 February 2025 (inclusive).

Your business must hold a current Virgin Australia Business Flyer membership in accordance with the relevant Virgin Australia Business Flyer terms and conditions at the time of booking to be eligible to earn Points. Cancelled reservations or reservations not used will not be eligible to earn Points. Bonus Points are awarded in addition to standard Points earn. Please allow up to 14 days after the return of the vehicle for the bonus Velocity Points to be awarded to the Business Member’s Virgin Australia Business Flyer account.

Virgin Australia Business Flyer

  • Virgin Australia Business Flyer members will be eligible for the following Europcar Points earn rate:
    • Tier 1: 1 Point per AUD $1 (excluding GST) spent on car rental.
    • Tier 2: 1.5 Points per AUD $1 (excluding GST) spent on car rental.
    • Tier 3: 2 Points per AUD $1 (excluding GST) spent on car rental.
  • ·        To be eligible to earn Velocity Points for your business, the business must hold a current Virgin Australia Business Flyer membership in accordance with the relevant Virgin Australia Business Flyer and Velocity Terms & Conditions. To be eligible to earn Velocity Points via Europcar, the business must book through the Europcar booking portal that can be accessed via the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Rewards Portal or the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Booking Portal. Points will be awarded to the member’s account within 14 days after return of the vehicle.
  • In addition to Points earn Virgin Australia Business Flyer members will also receive the following benefits from Europcar on all bookings made via the Europcar booking portal within the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Rewards Portal or the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Booking Portal:
    • A discount of at least 10 to 18% off the best base rate of the day on www.Europcar.com.au (that is, the rates on the Europcar booking portal accessed via the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Rewards Portal or the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Booking Portal.
    • A discount of at least 20 - 40% on the cost of damage protection cover to reduce the damage excess amount, included with any bookings by members via the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Booking Portal or Rewards Portal.

Velocity Frequent Flyer

  • If the driver is also a member of Velocity Frequent Flyer and their Velocity membership number is added to the booking, they may  earn Velocity Frequent Flyer Program Points in accordance with the Velocity member Terms & Conditions as amended from time to time.
  • Velocity Frequent Flyer members will not earn Points on contract rates, international wholesale rates, staff and industry rates, restricted rate plans,  optional damage liability reduction, vehicle registration fee, premium location fee, admin fee, taxes, GST, one-way fees, age surcharges, additional driver fees and equipment such ski racks, baby/booster seats or GPS rental costs.
  • Points will be awarded to the Velocity Frequent Flyer member’s account within 6 weeks of return of the vehicle.
  • Velocity membership and Points earn is subject to the Velocity Member Terms and Conditions as amended from time to time.

1. Earning Points with Virgin Australia Business Flyer: Virgin Australia Business Flyer Members can earn up to 1,000,000 Points from completed travel on eligible flights marketed and operated by Virgin Australia or marketed by Virgin Australia and operated by eligible airline partners, per annum, based on the rolling 12 month period from when the Member joins Virgin Australia Business Flyer. Points aren’t earned on certain fees, taxes, or charges.  Virgin Australia Business Flyer Terms and Conditions  apply. 

2. United Airlines Business Discounts (UA Business Discounts): As at  1 November 2023, the following discounts apply to the United Airlines and Virgin Australia base fares (which excludes fees, carrier charges and taxes) of Virgin Australia marketed and United Airlines operated flights (with a VA flight number) booked by Virgin Australia Business Flyer members (Members), which may change without notice:

VA Fare Class J, C and D: 10%

Economy Fares:
VA Fare Classes Y, B, W, H, K and L: 10%
VA Fare Classes R and E: 5%

The Fare Advantage Discount levels are subject to change without notice. 4. Thrifty Car Hire Discount: Virgin Australia Business Flyer members will receive the following benefit from Thrifty on all bookings made via the Thrifty booking portal within the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Rewards Portal or the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Booking Portal: a discount of 15-18% off the best base rate of the day on  www.Thrifty.com.au (that is, the rates on the Thrifty booking portal accessed via the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Rewards Portal or the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Booking Portal).

5. Points Transfer: Virgin Australia Business Flyer Account Administrators can transfer Points earned by the Virgin Australia Business Flyer member to a Velocity Frequent Flyer member, provided that (a) there is a minimum of 3,000 Points per transfer; and (b) the Velocity Frequent Flyer member transferee is directly employed or contracted by the Virgin Australia Business Flyer member. 

6. Pilot Gold: A new Virgin Australia Business Flyer member is eligible to receive two three-month Velocity Pilot Gold Memberships if, within the first three months of becoming a Virgin Australia Business Flyer member, it books and completes at least $2,000 of eligible travel (excluding taxes, fees and charges). ^Eligibility to sign up to Virgin Australia Business Flyer: Virgin Australia Business Flyer membership is available to businesses with an active ABN/ACN and an Australian business address that spend less than $300K per annum on flights with Virgin Australia and eligible airline partners.
